You are welcome at LUMC!

That message says it all: no matter your walk of life; your current situation; your past, present, or future - you are welcome here with us.

“Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.”

-Matthew 18:19–20

What is a United Methodist Church?

As United Methodists, we hold to the statements of faith found in the Apostles’ Creed, as well as those in the United Methodist Book of Discipline. We are called to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ and to be a vibrant and vital church to draw others to Him. Our local church—as well as the United Methodist Church—is not the only church, but it is one that is well worth attending, growing in, and working with to make it better for the Kingdom of God.

Who is Lititz United Methodist Church?

Lititz UMC is a church of spiritually bold leaders, where Spirit-led leaders love to serve and grow. Our church serves as a house of prayer for all nations, sustained by God and by the prayers of believers who live a life of fervent prayer. We believe in the power of redemption and are energized and committed to life-changing redemption groups. Our congregation is obedient to the call of God and is in this world with the sole purpose of propagating the kingdom of God through the Great Commission (Mt. 28:19–20).

Lititz UMC believes strongly in the transforming power of God’s word and engages with His power daily. We are filled with disciples who have submitted themselves to the will of God, and our congregants are intrinsically bound and woven together by Christ’s love. We strive to communicate God’s message effectively and clearly through ways that speak truth to the heart of this culture.

Our Core Values

We Believe...

  • Jesus alone is Savior and Lord.
  • Our desire is to love God, love people, and live His mission.
  • Our primary guide for faith and life is the Bible.
  • Every member is a minister and disciple-maker, and our staff and others lead, equip, and empower people to do the work of the ministry.
  • We are a people who depend upon the Holy Spirit and persistent prayer.
  • Our desires are to do things with excellence for God’s glory, to multiply disciples, and build His Kingdom.
  • Spiritual community, discipleship, and mission are better accomplished through missional small groups—and we are a church of small groups.
  • We value cultural diversity as Christ unites us as one body.
  • Participatory, experiential, Spirit-led teaching in weekly gatherings is essential; our desire is to provide a varied and energized experience with God.
  • People worship and grow as they serve, becoming like Jesus wherever they are.
  • Emotional health and spiritual formation are foundational to maturing and multiplying disciples.
  • High value is placed on developing leaders who not only serve the church organization but also serve as life-coaches, mentors and teachers who disciple individuals on their journey to living His mission.

“Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.”

-Psalm 145:4
